Introduction to Computers
In conjunction with Dowling House, we conducted a six week course in Basic Computer. This proved to be very popular and we are confident that the next one will fill up quickly!
Housing Week
In conjunction with Mallee Public Tenants Advice & Referral Service, we held an Open Day at Riverside Park. This was extremely successful and included everything from a sausage sizzle and face painting to live music and information displays. There was also a display by the Neighborhood Watch which was very popular with the kids.
Neighborhood House Week & International Year of the Volunteer
To celebrate these two important events, we held an Open Day and luncheon at which we presented framed Certificates to our valued volunteers. As we are a non profit organization, it is the tireless work of these volunteers that allows us to function successfully.
Pap Screen Information Session
In conjunction with Pap Screen Victoria, we held a Pap Screen Information Session. Guest speaker for the day was Robyn Northey who addressed many different topics concerning women of all ages. We included a beautiful lunch of steaming hot home made soup and fresh fruit salad, which was a real hit on such a cold day! |
